My Cyber Security Workshop Learning

Post Event Marketing Cyber Security Workshop

A few days ago I attended the Young Innovators Cyber Security workshop. As a result of my attendance I feel I have learnt new ways to be safe on the internet. I learnt new concepts such as geotagging and what types of information should and should not be shared on social media platforms. Overall my learning capabilities increased twenty percent. This workshop is relevant to the ever important digital landscape that we are exposed to everyday in the 21st century.

Young Innovators held its Cyber Security Workshop on the 4th of January 2019 at CYC Leumeah. The workshop started at 6pm and concluded at 8:15pm. A total of nine participants attended the workshop. All participants enjoyed the workshop as many individuals in the workshop are technology users therefore each individual held a passion and interest in this topic. Ali S the facilitator utilised Hello Smart, a series of videos and scenarios to encouraged participants to interact with each other and share their views regarding certain subject matters in the workshop. Each individual developed strategies to each scenario to implement methods to be safe internet users. Ali S introduced topics such as digital reputation and global citizenship to reinforce the importance that each individual has in a global framework to operate technologies in a way that is ethical, responsible and safe by harm other individuals, society, businesses and the government .

Young Innovators recently commenced a workshop as part of their summer holiday series to bring passion driven interactive learning and experiential based learning to participants without homework, assignments, pen, paper or exams. The purpose of these workshops is for the facilitator to be a mentor rather than a teacher as the emphasis was on student centred learning.
