Robotics Session 2 (Summary)

Young Innovators had their second Robotics Session in Notebook Solutions training/meeting section. The trainer, Dr. Fawad Nazir, is the founder of Sydney’s Robotics Club. In the first session, he discussed on what would be covered during the later sessions and aspects of robotics, but in this session, the Innovators both learned and played around physically the core basics of robotics. The minds learned how Voltage (V), Current(I) and Resistance(R) works and what kinds of formulas were used to understand the amounts of each attribute of V,I, R; so this was our introduction to electronics.

Then they learned how circuits are constructed and made because straight after knowing how to construct them, they constructed their own! Using a breadboard, LED lights, Resistance, and wires. They used a website to find out which resistance they needed then they used the resistance which was required. The resistance was dependant upon the battery which was used so Dr Fawad measured the batteries’ volts and looked at the specs of our parts before seeing which resistance the innovators used.

Later they looked at a microprocessor which was made by Arduino. Dr Fawad then gave a quick demo on how microprocessors work then the innovators saw how it was coded using Arduino.
